  • He completed his MBBS in 1984 and an MD in General Medicine in 1989 from Government Medical College, Jammu.
  • He further pursued a DM in Medical Oncology from Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, in 1993.
  • Dr. Vaid was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2009 for contributions to the field of medicine and the Chikitsa Shiromani Award in 2007.
  • He has authored numerous research papers and has been actively involved as a principal investigator in over 50 international and national clinical studies.
  • He is a founder member of the Indian Cooperative Oncology Network and a life member of organisations such as the Breast Cancer Foundation of India, the Indian Association of Gynae Oncologists, the Indian Medical Association, and the Indian Association of Clinical Medicine.
