Dr. Ashok Vaid is a distinguished with over 40 years of experience.
He has the distinction of performing the first 25 bone marrow transplants in the private sector in North India.
Dr. Vaid specialises in treating organ-specific cancers, including breast, brain, lung, and thyroid cancers.
His expertise extends to treating leukaemia, lymphoma, and other blood disorders.
He completed his MBBS in 1984 and an MD in General Medicine in 1989 from Government Medical College, Jammu.
He further pursued a DM in Medical Oncology from Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, in 1993.
Dr. Vaid was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2009 for contributions to the field of medicine and the Chikitsa Shiromani Award in 2007.
He has authored numerous research papers and has been actively involved as a principal investigator in over 50 international and national clinical studies.
He is a founder member of the Indian Cooperative Oncology Network and a life member of organisations such as the Breast Cancer Foundation of India, the Indian Association of Gynae Oncologists, the Indian Medical Association, and the Indian Association of Clinical Medicine.
He is also a member of the Indian Society of Medical and Pediatric Oncology, Association of Physicians of India, American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society for Medical Oncology and European Hematology Association.
